One of the first brands that I talked about in this blog, one of the first brands a bit different from the usual that Sissi wore was Bonnie Baby
some articles and outfits).
After many e-mails, likes, comments, I finally met Tracey Samuel, the founder and designer of the brand, in Paris during Playtime.
Face to face chat with Tracey left me even more convinced of what I already knew, first of all in the skin, then as mom and as customer of the brand: Tracey is a delightful person, kind, an experienced designer who truly understands the needs of children and of their mothers.
The motto of Bonnie Baby is “Buy once, buy well, pass it on” and I must admit that fully reflects my thoughts: I always preferred (even for me) to buy quality than quantity garments. I do not want to disdain the giants of fast-fashion, but … (I admit that I did a short break here: write it or not? And I decided to write it because the sense of a kids fashion blog is mainly to give honest and disinterested opinions to other moms like us)
… But Zara tees that I bought have always punctured easily, spoil after a few washes, while sweaters and clothes that I bought for Sissi from Bonnie Baby are still perfect, like new: it’s a shame having to put away when she grows up. Definitely they could be reused by a brother or cousin.
Bonnie Baby even creates cashmere garments machine washable, with bold designs and bright colors, loved by parents for quality and adored by children for design.
After 10 years, as well as children of Tracey, Bonnie Baby has grown up and abandons the style purely baby to be open also to older children, the ones who have worn baby garments of Bonnie Baby and when they grew, they ask: “And now? “. Needless to say, we find ourselves with Sissi at this stage and the news of the great new features coming for next season has really pleased!
Introducing “The Bonnie Mob“: represents the temerity, the fun, the spirit of freedom and the wild side of childhood. From pampering garments for newborns to clothing for children up to 7 years, all with “a touch of handmade, a pinch of vintage and a whole heap of durability.”
The new collection is inspired by childhood memories of Tracey, of growing up in the 70’s and 80’s; romping through the Scottish countryside, dancing to Abba on the radio and drawing endless felt-tip pen masterpieces….
For copyright reasons, I could just show you some pictures that Tracy has kindly allowed me to shoot at Playtime Paris… but I assure you that the collection is gorgeous!
Meanwhile, you can enjoy spring/summer collection, just arrived at Bonnie Baby home, with a palette full of color, yellow, pastel and nice Tutti Frutti!
