Hi, I’m Paola. I live in Italy, I’m a mother, a wife, a woman, an engineer with an expertise in renewable energy and building/architecture, I’ve always been a web and shopping addicted, a traveller.
Passionate about nordic/design style, great food and fashion. It is for my biggest love, my daughter Sissi, that I decided to begin to write a blog: my aim was to share with other mums and women my passions and to treat my feminine side.
Over the years this blog has grown and evolved, becoming a real job. Today SissiWorld is a kids & mums lifestyle magazine: on SissiWorld you can find a lot of kids fashion (in editorials, shootings, news from brands or trade shows), beauty, travel (always with children and in unique places), home & design, lifestyle.
Our style is cosmopolitan: we always loved to travel, discover new horizons (whether in kids fashion or in real travel experiences), we love to distinguish ourselves from the mass and believe and support green, culture, and education themes. We love beautiful things and cool news.
Our style prefers trendy and high quality topics, some times luxury, without being snobbish but always with our feet on the ground.
Our story
SissiWorld begins in 2013 to search for kids fashion’s brands designed just for children, better if ethical and sustainable. The philosophy that guides Paola and Sissi (Paola’s daughter and her partner in crime in this creative duo that has now become SissiWorld) is #letkidsbekids.
Meanwhile, in 2014 Paola attended a Master in Managing Fashion and Luxury Companies at SDA Bocconi, verified Cousera, and began her training in digital marketing, content marketing, social media, SEO, photography and styling.
From 2013 she participates at Pitti Bimbo, from 2014 at Playtime Paris, from 2015 at CIFF Kids Copenhagen, from 2017 at Mini Mode London and from 2019 at FIMI Madrid, always accredited among the leading press in kids fashion. In the last editions of these trade-shows, Sissi also participates as a brand ambassador, in catwalks or as a model in some stands.
In 2014, the proposal to SissiWorld’s readers expands with the section dedicated to beauty, thanks to which Paola also becomes a web editor for Glamour.it – thanks to the affection of her readers and followers she is currently the most widely read beauty reporter in terms of Analytics -, and with the sections dedicated to travel, always seen in a family point of view. Connecting the magazine and Paola’s first job (engineer in building/architecture), the home&decor and kids design section is also born: once again we start discovering the sector’s innovations traveling invited to Maison&Objet Paris.
Since 2014 SissiWorld is present in various Italian and foreign rankings, counted among the most followed kids fashion blogs (Les Cahiers, Blogmeter, Madresfera, among others).
Over the years there have been participations in various events, articles for physical and online magazines, interviews, columns on websites dedicated to mothers, women, family, as well as many blogtours and shooting and styling opportunities.
In April 2016 SissiWorld is selected as the only Italian family blog at the presentation for RunDisney at Disneyland Paris, and then participates in the half marathon for family and kids race in September 2016.
In 2017 Paola participates as a juree at Roma Web Fest, alongside names like Antonio Falanga, Giada Desideri, Martina Valerio, Barbara Molinario, Loris Danesi, Issima91, Garmy Sall, Maria Vittoria Cusumano.
2018 and 2019 see the creative mum&daughter duo mature and work more and more synergistically on photography and styling: the style is always natural, empathetic, little retouched, true to its principles of #letkidsbekids, shootings always take place outside , with natural light, trying to combine unique places with special garments. Again, storytelling is their key.
In 2020, despite the lockdown due to Covid-19, the creative duo continues to grow: on the one hand Paola continues to train in photography by obtaining various certified diplomas, on the other Sissi continues to participate in the life of the magazine and its social networks as a subject of recovery and sharing of everyday life in a positive way. There are many projects to support brands and activities, such as national and international online shops.
