Bella Sky is one of the most famous hotels in the world, which I long wanted to visit. Not only as a travel experience, but also as an engineer: Bella Sky represents a jewel of contemporary architecture.
Its skyline was immortalized by every street photographer and travel blogger who went to Copenhagen at least once.
AC Hotel Bella Sky: where you can touch the sky of Copenhagen
This is the impression that you have when you look at the towers of Bella Sky Center: The hotel in a tower and the exhibition centre in the other represents a complete and complex structure, with the bridge that unites them.
Contemporary, elegant and modern: AC Hotel Bella Sky perfectly matches this description.
AC Hotel Bella Sky is a 4 star hotel, part of the Marriott AC Hotels group. The reception is large, airy, open in a space that includes the Lobby Bar and AC Lounge. Here your look is immediately kidnapped by the style of the Basalt Restaurant and its decoration, on the upper floor.
Rooms are really boutique rooms, faithful to the modern style of the hotel, they have a minimalist design.
The white prevails in the furniture, whose lines remain clean, precisely linear.
The bathroom is surrounded by glass windows (opaque) and represents an architectural and decoration element.
The view is simply superb: the large windows allow you to look down (or up) and to admire the structure of the hotel and the beautiful northern sky and its special light. If you want to enjoy spectacular views of Copenhagen, don’t miss a top-floor lunch or cocktail at the rooftop Sky Bar.
We decided to dine at the Basalt Restaurant: a unique concept. All the raw materials are local, many of them are even produced on site and they don’t throw anything away, literally! So from the bones of cows, used for meat, knives and decorations are obtained! Basalt Restaurant tells a love story between man and fire. It has something primitive and ancestral, in a cozy mood: it’s all about Nordic design and delicious dishes, that are based on fermentation and preservation just as they were millennia ago.
We tried the Inferno tasting menu (495 DKK per person), which brings the diners in exploration of the fire and fermentation through five dishes. Simply one of the best restaurants we have ever visited.

AC Hotel Bella Sky’s facilities include a swimming pool, fitness center, SPA, shuttle to/from the airport. The connection to the city centre is quick and simple by bus, whose stop is exactly in front of the hotel, or by the Metro (Station Bella Center), just 200 meters away.
And if you love golf… there is a nice golf course right in front of the hotel!
