Surely buying during sales for children represents a considerable economic advantage: taking advantage of the discounts, we can buy quality garments, with some advice!
Children’s clothing sale: what’s worth buying
There are garments valid for any season of the year: suits, denim, monochrome basic t-shirts, leggings, etc. Kids will use them for a long time. Let me add that on these garments it is worth paying even more attention to the label: precisely because they are garments that are worn daily, in every season, it is worth investing in organic or at least in 100% cotton, viscose, etc (we avoid synthetic fibers to the maximum always, as general principle).
We chose a great classic: the denim shirt with rock-chic allure by Zadig et Voltaire Kids (did you see the detail of the rhinestones on the wrists?!), combined with the skirt, in cotton drill (easy to dress since up to the size 10yrs it has the adjustable waist!)
Underwear: T-shirts, briefs, socks… also in this case pay attention to the composition precisely because they are garments that come into direct contact with the skin! Certified bio (GOTS would be better because it guarantees the highest standard of quality) or at least OekoTex cotton.
Jackets and outerwear: unlike what would happen with trousers, it does not matter if today they dress a little over, indeed an over garment today could even last for two seasons. Look at this jacket from DKNY Kids (you can find the brand in kidsaround’s eshop): the previous year in Iceland (photo above) it was a bit over-styled, while this year (photo below) is perfect!
Dresses: some children’s clothing brands have everything at half price in the last days of sales, so it’s worth waiting and buying an added size as well and if you need to have a hem made in order to fit now and later.
Children’s clothing sale: don’t risk on…
Footwear: it is not wise to buy them in advance, because the growth of the foot is not very predictable and varies greatly from one child to another. The only exception for sports shoes/sneakers that your children can wear all year round.
Trousers, skirts, tight-fitting/skinny dresses: your kid can grow a lot in a single season and you risk that they are no longer fitting!
Children’s clothing sale: what size do I buy?
If you’re buying clothes for babies, calculate the months they’ll have when you’ll use the garment you’re buying. Some manufacturers provide, in addition to the size, also the height for which the garment is indicated: otherwise it is better to ask for advice because the sizes vary greatly from one brand to another. In general, if you buy online, at the bottom of the web page you will always find the Size Chart with all the measures.
From 4 years of age, you can usually get the right size by buying one size more than the current one. In any case, it is always better to buy in excess than by default!
