FIMI Madrid: an opportunity to learn about Spanish childrens fashion (and more)

From 5 to 7 July FIMI, the International Fair for Children’s Fashion will present spring summer 2020 collections. Almost 200 exhibiting companies will show their proposals with a focus on high quality fabrics, design and competitive prices, main pillars of Spanish fashion, very appreciated in foreign markets.

FIMI is the international children’s fashion fair where you will find the most significant number of Spanish companies, representing about 80% of the brands present. The largest number of these come mainly from Andalusia, the Valencia Region, Galicia and Madrid.

As for international brands, the widest offer comes from the neighboring country, Portugal, followed by Italian companies showing FIMI some of their most iconic brands such as Birba, Trybeyond by Mauli, Rifle, Please or Dixie participating in FIMI to the first time. Proposals also come from Germany, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Israel, Nepal, Poland, the United Kingdom and Russia.

Among the brands that confirm their presence at FIMI: Ancar, Guards, Foque, Manuela Montero, Martin Aranda, N.V Villalobos, Crazy Goose, Dear Philippa, Sardon, Siena, Man, Yoedu, alongside new brands that want to gain a foothold in the national market and international thanks to FIMI.

FIMI will be visited by more than 200 foreign buyers from 42 countries. In general, exports drive the growth of the sector, according to the latest data offered by ASEPRI for 2018, the increase was 6% in exports, for a total of 705 million euros. Buyers come from Germany, Algeria, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Cyprus, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, United Arab Emirates, United States, France, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Oman, the Netherlands, Panama, Portugal, Puerto Rico, United States, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Uzbekistan and Venezuela. In this way, FIMI becomes the top-level event for companies looking for a stepping stone to exports.

SEE ME, FIMI’s space for independent brands

SEE ME has become more and more international and for this edition of FIMI returns to the catwalk. This space, generating a fashionable lifestyle, will bring together almost 40 companies, all with a unique and particular approach to baby fashion. These include ARSÈNE ET LES PIPELETTES, BABY SHOWER, BANWOOD, BEBECOTT, BOSSA BY AMARTI, COMMETAS, COSAS DE MON, COTTON&CO BABY ACCESSORIES, HILANDO DIMELO, DONSJE, EVA SCHULZ, EWERS, JIM & LUCY, L’ETIPE, LOOKS BY LUKS, MA PETITE LOLA MESSAGE IN THE BOTTLE, MIA Y LIA, MIMICHIC, MINABAY, MIRALINDO, MYWOOL, NAC COMPLEMENTOS, NADADELAZOS, NAIL MATIC, OH! SOLEIL, OSAMORE, PETER JO KIDS, PETIT OH! , PLUMETI RAIN, ROSA JOU, TARANTELA, TOCOTO VINTAGE, TWIN & CHIC AND ULIRU.
Most of the companies are Spanish, however, this space becomes increasingly international with brands from Colombia, France, Holland, Poland and Portugal.

Nuditos, FIMI’s creative space

Young fashion design students participate in every edition in the Nuditos space, to show fashion professionals their freshest and most innovative form of approaching fashion. In this edition, students from the Escuela Paras de Alicante and ESNE in Madrid will show professionals in the field their first collections. Nuditos space is increasingly sought after by manufacturers. It’s the embryo of creativity, an area where you take risks and make a difference, and FIMI gives them the opportunity to network.

FIMI KIDS FASHION WEEK: fashion shows

FIMI has created a program of fashion shows in which prestigious companies share the catwalk with lifestyle companies and young designers.
The collections of ABEL & LULA, AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA, DADATI, DOLCE AELA, DOLCE PETIT, ENERGIERS, IT CHILD, LADY BUGS CRIS, MY MENINA, N- V VILLALOBOS, PAN WITH CHOCOLATE, PLEASE, RIFLE, TREBEYOND BY MAULI and PHILIPP WANTEDA will be displayed on the catwalk on Friday 5th at 1:30 p.m.

On Friday, July 5th at 5pm, some of the brands included in SEE ME will also be on the catwalk: ARSÈNE ET LES PIPELETTES, COSAS DE MON, DONSJE, NADADELAZOS, LOOKS BY LUKS, TWIN & CHIC and ULIRU.

Finally On Saturday, July 6th at 5 pm, with all the excitement of the first time, Nuditos students will show their creations on the catwalk.
