Karl Lagerfeld Kids AW18: Urban-chic is the watchword

A quote by the founder of the Bauhaus movement, whose school, in 1917,was open to every person of good repute, regardless of age and sex with a progressive and modern mentality. A movement that certainly fascinates those who have passion and studies also in architecture, a real fundamental point of reference for all the innovation movements in the field of design and architecture.

For this reason we could not love the new collection fall/winter 2018/19 of Karl Lagerfeld Kids, which proposes a preppy style with details inspired by the architecture of the Bauhaus Movement. Iconic for the brand, black and white predominates, just like in the main collection, while the style is urban-chic, portable as always daily with a style that does not pass certainly unnoticed.

The most beautiful item of the collection, which I loved from the start and that I would like to have identical in adult version, is the jacket in faux fur. We matched the sweatshirt, warm and soft, in pale pink with the iconic Choupette (in the women’s collection, in the same colour, you find the sweatshirt with Karl, for a mini-me really full of style), with the trousers with the side band, a must of season that we find similar also in adult version.

For girls, the look is softened by a very tender pale pink, while touches of vivid red light up the iconic black and white. Blue combines with pink for a very delicate and feminine effect, in addition to stars, sequins, glitter and plissé.
In the collection for boys, red joins bordeaux to highlight the graphic spirit of black and white. The garments have a sport-chic inspiration, with ribs, stripes, reflective details and the iconic and very recognizable logo.
For this new season, the baby theme is fun and comfortable: the tiny ones will find themselves wrapped in a cocoon of soft knit. For baby girl, white and black are softened by a soft pink and modernized by iconic designs with Choupette while, for baby boy, pale blue and gray melange add a touch of sweetness.
