Many news for the upcoming 21st edition of Playtime Paris

Like every year, the winter edition of Playtime Paris is for us an important moment, full of incentives for the new year, of encounters with new people and re-encounters with friends and designers. From January 28 to 30, Playtime Paris will bring together more than 500 brands coming to present their collections for fall-winter 2017/18.

Playtime unveils lots of news this year: the recent launch of the new visual identity with a new logo, a new website and… a new city! Next summer Playtime will add to the now traditional Paris, New York and Tokyo, a fourth goal: Berlin (July 5/6th 2017, in the heart of the Fashion Week, at Palazzo Italia).

“We noticed that these markets, which remain crucial for our exhibitors, didn’t travel in sufficient numbers to our existing shows. It was therefore logical to make it possible for a targeted group of brands to go to them”, explains Sébastien de Hutten, Playtime’s director. “Berlin offers a unique dynamism and geographical positioning which will allow them to shine beyond Germanic borders”, he adds.

www.iloveplaytime.com brings all of the Playtime shows together onto a unique website which is clear, snappy, and easy to use on all platforms. The lists of exhibitors have been enhanced to place the emphasis on brands. Add to that a lightning-fast search function, and you’ll be sure never to miss any of your favorites !
And for a ton of information and inspiration, make your way to our homepage to discover the brand new Playtime Gazette, an online specialised magazine designed in partnership with a global network of writers and contributors.

NEW NOW

This 21st edition will also highlight our strong emphasis on supporting and shining the spotlight on brands making their Playtime Paris debut. “After having supported the development of some of the most emblematic brands in children’s fashion, it was essential that we intensifi ed our focus on emerging brands so as to give them the best possible showcase on the international market”, explains Sébastien de Hutten, the show’s director. “10 years ago, when we created Playtime Paris, it was above all to bring young creators to the foreground, and it was therefore completely natural for us to to maintain this emphasis, given the current appeal of Playtime”, he adds.
This is why we will be creating a brand new 110m2, entirely partition-free space, conceived to highlight “New Comers” collections in the most efficient way possible. It will be located by the North entrance to the show.
And as a way to stay in touch with the aspirations and evolutions of the market, every season we will be inviting a professional from the children’s wear universe to select his or her favourite brands; Deborah Sfez, who can only be described as the Swiss army knife of children’s fashion, will be the fi rst of our special guests to inaugurate the space.
