Mini Rodini and adidas Originals – catch me if you can

Swedish children’s wear brand Mini Rodini is doing a yearlong global collaboration together with adidas Originals. All releases are filled with limited edition pieces of iconic adidas Originals styles with print design by Cassandra Rhodin, founder and creative director of Mini Rodini.

First release was December 1st and on March 9th, the second drop will hit the stores. During 2017, three more releases will come.

Mini Rodini is really looking forward to this collaboration. adidas Originals is so iconic as a brand. I’ve been wearing original silhouettes since I was a kid (Cassandra Rhodin, Creative Director at Mini Rodini)

adidas Originals challenges the status quo, originality is about the source. It’s about who made it first, where it was born and creativity at its core. Nothing is truer to this than Mini Rodini, it’s a natural fit for the Originals brand identity and we’re very excited to be collaborating on a collection dedicated to kids and the imprint they leave (Nic Galway, Creative Director of adidas Originals and Style)

The sustainability factor in the collaboration is important for both Mini Rodini and adidas Originals. Therefore, all apparel is made out of 100 percent organic cotton and recycled polyester. The footwear is made out of partly recycled materials.

The second drop, releasead March 9th 2017 00:01 CET, consists of two tracksuits, one shorts/tank top set, one legging/tank top set together with two caps in addition to a Stan Smith sneaker on the footwear side.
The collection is available in size 62-116 (apparel) and in 19-27 (footwear).

adidas Originals by Mini Rodini will be sold in Mini Rodini owned stores at Odengatan, Vallgatan and Skomakaregatan, all open at 10.00 CET.
New for this release is that it will be sold in Mini Rodini’s online store, release time 00:01 CET, with a limited purchase of two products per category, regardless of size and color. adidas Originals will sell the collection in their flagship stores worldwide and most of their online stores as well as selected retailers globally.

This second drop plays with bright and spring colors, such as cherry and blue with the print of cute Mini Rodini bunnies (which remind me a lot this collection) in tennis version. As with the first drop, it was very hard to shop this limited edition, so even this time we couldn’t shop anything (all was sold out)… maybe next time!
