Pilke Science Centre has one huge room, an open space where you have the opportunity to explore the forest with all your senses and from many different angles.

Did you know that forests are a valuable habitat for plants and animals? And that constitute an important part of Finnish culture?

Get driving a forest car, climb into a birdhouse, meet the mascot Tuksu and sing karaoke on an anthill. New experiences and new discoveries, along with fun and things-to-do rather than things-to-watch, make Pilke a perfect place to visit with children, who will learn by playing.

The stop at Pilke Shop is a must: in summer you will also find a section on sale (we took advantage and buy Christmas decorations) and here the toys for children are really educational, made -of course- of wood!

The ticket for Pilke costs €7 for adults and €5 for children from 7 to 15 years (free under 7 years!).

There are several cumulative tickets, but if you visit Rovaniemi for a few days surely the best option is to buy a Culture Pass, a practical way to experience the most interesting cultural attractions of Rovaniemi! With the pass, in addition to Pilke, you can visit and learn about the history of Lapland and life in the Arctic at the Arktikum Museum and know the contemporary art of the Great North in the museum Korundi. Pass is personal and valid for seven days and costs €20 for adults and €10 for kids from 7 to 15 years old.
