Do you want to know spring summer 2019 trends ? Pitti Bimbo 87 made us discover all the trends for next season, highlighting the news thanks to shows, parties, catwalks, events. You followed us in Instagram Stories (which you can still find among the content in evidence so you can watch again when you want!) but it’s time to show you all the pictures and tell you about the trends for spring summer 2019.
What has just ended was a Pitti bimbo that I personally found more open to foreign influences, both as a number of brands present and as a taste. And the closing numbers of the childrenswear’s main exhibition showed it: a small rise in the total number of buyers present (+ 1%). 5.350 buyers – above the results of a year ago – and 10.000 as total number of visitors. Among the international markets the buyers from Russia are growing (+ 4%, always leading the ranking), Spain (+ 2%), Germany (+ 5%), UK (+ 10%), Belgium (+ 25%), Turkey (+ 28%), Japan (+ 75%), Korea (+ 17%), Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia; the numbers are stable from the United States and the UAE, in a decline of attendance from China, Holland, France, Ukraine.
“The atmosphere that is breathed in Fortezza da Basso is positive, in the stands we have seen a lot of concreteness and desire to deepen the news of companies, presentations and events for buyers and press have been very followed, under the banner of widespread trust. Childrenswear is experiencing a moment of great evolution, with a strong focus towards a dimension of research and lifestyle, that Pitti bimbo is encouraging and enhancing, even with the new projects and sections dedicated to creativity and emerging brands, to design and new lifestyles, which broaden the boundaries of the child universe.” Raffaello Napoleone, managing director of Pitti Immagine.
Pitti Bimbo 87: kids fashion trends for spring summer season 2019
Flower & Stripes with 50s reminiscences: here is the child-sized elegance for spring summer 2019
If you are looking for elegance, SS2019 will be characterized by two great trends: flowers and lines. The Fifties are powerful suggestion for a wardrobe that prefers the tones of natural white and optical white juxtaposed to sophisticated chromatic flashes such as green Tiffany and silver. The fabrics of the most elegant collections include precious and festive materials such as tulle and taffeta, enriched with sequins and delicate coating. Lace, ruffles and rouches, already present in current SS18 collections, continue to predominate on all the girls collections. For the ceremony, white is protagonist on materials that reveal a craftsmanship exalted by manual finishing. For boys the main inspiration is from the College world: a casual preppy look consisting of sweatshirts, T-shirts and more formal polos. And there are the tones of the American Flag to colour this mood, flanked by classic grey melange and navy blue.
Lightness, fil Rouge for the luxury collections 2.0
The light colours exalt the precious and super natural textures of cotton and linen yarns that caress the skin like a gentle spring breeze. Party dress only accommodates classic lines when revisited with prints, weights and details of contemporary taste: a wonderful mix between future and past. The luxury collections, mainly made in Europe, distinguished by high quality and tailoring, offer light and refined volumes: impalpable skirts like corollas, minute multicolor applications that revive shirts and blouses. A new tactile taste makes its way through 3d hyperlight textures. Sandals and ballerinas mix skillfully different materials and enrich themselves with glamorous details such as stones and glitter.
The chic side of active search
The lure of the athleisure trend evolves synchronously with an aspiration to comfort increasingly accentuated. A fashion that approaches kids and adults but does not overlook the particular needs of dynamism of the youngest: it is the size of the mini-me, which combines contemporaneity and style in an outfit aligned with the trends of adult fashion. For the girls, a hyperfeminine palette of pastel tones becomes active thanks to fluo touches. Sweatshirts, leggings, T-shirts and tops pass the sporting opportunities by completing daily use proposals. The garments follow sartorial silhouettes that indulge the movement or receive technical details, such as reversible belts and changeable according to size. The great classics of activewear reaffirm themselves on tracksuits, jogging trousers, jackets and jerseys made in cotton. The sweatshirt is declined in a thousand solutions: enriched by patterns and patches or marked by sports bands and combined with sneakers to measure of race.
And it does not stop here: activewear can also become suitable for the most glamorous occasions, for example for parties (not canonical like ceremonies, but rather birthday parties, events, glamorous evenings, travel opportunities). Just learn to mix sweatshirts and T-shirts with satin bomber and corolla skirts, ankle boots with lace dresses, crop sweatshirts above pleated skirts!
For spring summer 2019, the trend for everyday clothing is certainly the activewear, with its declinations that move from the sports world to the more urban.
Welcome to the jungle. The green touch of lifestyle for kids
The lifestyle horizon of the childrenswear is tinged with green. Not only the lifestyle meets nature through organic materials like linen and cotton, but also the palettes are intrideed with tropical greens, earthy browns, marine blue, energetic yellows and the prints, used in profusion, show splits of distant and exotic habitats, tropical forests, sea-bottoms rich in fish and flowering meadows.
