Playtime Paris 27th edition: Report

450 brands 5590 visitors: this new February edition marked a great success rich in new features! From January 25 to 27, 2020, talented designers and fashion & lifestyle buyers met at the Parc Floral in Paris to discover the fall-winter 2020 collections. Buyers and brands came across in a vibrant atmosphere right from the entrance of the show!

Playtime Paris decided to limit the selection to 450 brands (74% fashion, 21% lifestyle and 2% maternity) this season

A bold choice in order to improve brand visibility and avoid diluting business relationships in a sector that remains under pressure. Among these brands, 102 were taking part in the show for the first time, joining the Playtime family.

There was novelty too to be found in the layout: fashion and lifestyle were mixed in a concept-store spirit, offering an extended visibility to the design brands as well as a more stimulating journey throughout the show for buyers.

Meanwhile, Playtime reconnected with its original DNA in highlighting The New Now space. In the pavilion at the entrance of the show, the new layout drew a lot of visitors and curiosity.

The Crea.tif space hosted as always, a sharp selection of 12 textile designers who presented their drawings and prints, supported by a redesigned and more visual and graphical exhibition module.

It was therefore a more efficiently spaced out and inclusive show which the 5590 professional visitors who made the trip were able to discover. A decrease compared to last winter season of 2019, tempered however by two encouraging statistics: buyers’ loyalty, 49% of whom have now been returning to the show, and the noteworthy dynamism of Asian and American visitor figures.
