WAWA Cph AW17: Bergman’s Fårö. AW17 collection celebrates slow fashion, quiet, nature

If one wished to be solemn, it could be said that I had found my landscape, my real home; If one wished to be unpretentious, one could talk about love at first sight
(Ingmar Bergman)

WAWA Cph for the fall/winter 2017 collection is back to its roots, to a childhood spent on the Swedish island of Fårö, beloved and celebrated also by the famous director Ingmar Bergman, who filmed Fårö in many of his movies.

Gotland Fårö-Raukar Langhammars

AW17 collection of WAWA Cph is called Bergman’s Fårö and is approaching the smallest ones with a simple design, clean lines that give space, when worn, to your child’s unique details, whether it might be the freckles, tooth gaps or the curious eyes.

Fårö echoes in this collection with its quiet, its silence, its slowness: a collection that never go out of fashion, including many monochrome pieces to match with funny prints, such as marshmallows or hats or film frames. The color palette includes black, green bottle, burnt brown, matching with light grey and cream background of the all over prints. The cotton is organic, GOTS certified, with soft feel, comfortable, stretch: nothing tightens or pulls. They can just be kids.
