A weekend in London with children: The Arch London

Marylebone is the perfect neighborhood if you want to spend a weekend in London with the kids in total relaxation. Marylebone is a location that satisfies the whole family and has so much to offer at a distance of a walk. No stress for Metro and taxi (but if you want to take them you have many stops in the area), no stress for where to eat/sleep or what to do.Marylebone is a quiet and elegant neighbourhood, with architecturally characteristic buildings (in a Neoclassical style), where parks and gardens as well as restaurants, cafes and boutiques are not lacking.
Although it remains outside the traditional tourist circuits, the area is very close to Oxford Street and, through the beautiful Marble Arch, to Hyde Park, to walk by or to cross heading towards Knightsbridge area.
To the north are Madame Tussaud’s Museum and Regent Park, with London Zoo.

Marylebone is also The Arch Hotel, our home in London

How many hotels have we stayed in London over the years?! Many. So many: from big hotel chains to simple B&B, from peripheral hotels to excellent names, very central.

At The Arch Hotel we found home. It is probably a sense of belonging to a style that mirrors us, surrounded by art, good food, pampering and personal attention, never intrusive.

The Arch London is a 5-star boutique hotel that, with its 82 deluxe rooms (including four luxurious suites), spread over six floors. It is a small gem in the heart of Marylebone.

The Arch London is one of the top 20 Luxury hotels in the UK in 2017 according to Travellers ‘ Choice Awards.

The hotel has an ancient history, dating back to the Georgian era when it was a private mansion. In 1979 Abraham Bejerano, returning home right along Great Cumberland Place, was impressed by this complex of buildings and immediately began to think of this place as the perfect location for a hotel. In 2010 the hotel has definitely acquired the current configuration and from that moment welcomes its international clientele in a very unique way.
The link of the Arch London with the art is immediately evident at the entrance of
the hall, where a fireplace, designer furnishings and statues and modern paintings warm the environment.
The check-in wait is brightened by Chai Tea or a Lime & Mint flavored water, that change depending on seasonal availability.
At the ground floor, for the delight of the traveler, but also to entertain with friends after dinner or to relax with interesting readings, you will find the beautiful library room and a smaller room, adjacent to the entrance.
The gym room is perfect for those who want to stay active even on holiday: not only are there machines, but also areas for those who want to practise yoga or Pilates.
The Hunter 486 Restaurant is an intimate, modern and collected place at the same time: an excellent breakfast is served here (continental style, but characterized by superb ingredients of excellent quality and certified origin) or you can enjoy a good dinner (remember to book because it is quite renowned!).
The rooms are very comfortable, finely furnished and equipped with every comfort. Mattresses and pillows guarantee an excellent rest, while the TV with DVD player and Sky ensure entertainment for every taste. The corner dedicated to coffee/tea is provided with excellent products and the Nespresso machine guarantees a really good coffee. We even found fresh milk for our coffee!
The minibar is always free for all things about soft drinks, while you can buy alcohol or sweet/savoury snacks.
The bathroom is large, with a comfortable bathtub equipped with TV and pillow relax. The lighting and the spaces will allow you an impeccable make-up even on holiday! The bathroom products are of excellent quality and for children a dedicated delicate and bio line is offered.
Bathrobes and slippers await you for the whole family, even in mini size!
If you are travelling with children, you should definitely consider the family Fun package that includes breakfast for the whole family, an extra bed or a free cot (for children up to 16 years old), dinner for kids in the restaurant when they dine with you, Archie the puppy (a plush mascot that’s so cute!), milk and biscuits for children in the evening, bathrobe with slippers and toys available in a toy box.
