[one_half]Il suo stile è unico e personale e traduce nelle sue creazioni la propria vita, rappresentando nel suo prodotto la multietnicità: Stella Jean ha origini Haitiane, ma nasce a Roma, dove risiede. E’ cresciuta in una famiglia dove arte, moda e bellezza sono sempre stati “pane quotidiano”: la madre, attrice (la potete vedere esordire in un film di Alberto Sordi), elegante e appassionata di moda, ed il padre, disegnatore di gioielli. Stella Jean esordisce nel mondo della moda  sulla passerella, indossando l’Abito da Sposa di Egon von Furstenberg. Poi capisce di voler diventare stilista e nelle sue creazioni riflette ed evoca la sua eredità creola in cui si fondono le due culture del Suo continente: quella antica e sognatrice del vecchio e quella verve e moderna del nuovo. Stella Jean sposa il pensiero di Madeleine Vionnet per cui è indispensabile plasmare l’abito direttamente sul corpo, asserendo che “…avendo il corpo tre dimensioni non ci si può affidare alla carta” ed impara l’arte della pittura su stoffa da Nadia Valli.

Nel 2011 il successo con la collezione “Wax & Stripes“. Il wax è un tessuto tipico africano dai colori accesi e dalle fantasie meravigliose che evoca immediatamente certi luoghi caraibici, proprio come Haiti, (anche se il miglior tessuto wax è oggi prodotto in Olanda) e Stella lo utilizzò su camicie sartoriali dal taglio uomo, per lo più a righe. La donna assume così un’immagine molto femminile e retrò (le sue gonne ci ricordano quelle degli anni ’50 e ’60) ed allo stesso tempo assolutamente moderna proprio grazie alla sua multietnicità. E’ la donna di Stella Jean, che la stessa stilista definisce: “curiosa, viaggiatrice, colta, una donna che si informa ed è pienamente inserita nell’attualità ma ha un fortissimo attaccamento alle sue radici e non trascura il peso della storia per poi poter andare ovunque”.

Stella Jean made her debut in the world of fashion on the catwalk, wearing the Wedding Dress of Egon von Furstenberg. Then she realized that she wanted to become a designer and her creations reflects and evokes her Creole legacy that blend the two cultures of her continent: the ancient and dreamer culture of the old continent and the verve of the new and modern one. Stella Jean agrees to the thought of Madeleine Vionnet: it is essential to shape the dress directly on the body, saying that “…the body has three dimensions and we can not commit to paper” and learns the art of painting on fabric by Nadia Valli.

In 2011 the success with the collection “Wax & Stripes”. The wax is a typical African fabric in bright colors and wonderful fantasies that immediately evokes certain Caribbean places, just like Haiti (although the best fabric wax is now produced in the Netherlands) and Stella used it on tailored shirts man-cutted, mostly with stripes. The woman thus assumes a very feminine and retro aspect (her skirts remind us of those ’50s and ’60s) and at the same time thoroughly modern thanks to its multi-ethnicity. This is the woman by Stella Jean, that the designer herself defines: “curious, traveler, educated, a woman who informs and is fully inserted in current but has a very strong attachment to her roots and does not neglect the weight of history so she can go anywhere. “[/one_half_last]

Dopo il successo di questi anni, Stella Jean entra a far parte del progetto Kids Evolution con la sua prima capsule collection da bambini, che ho avuto il piacere di ammirare al Pitti Bimbo 79 di giugno 2014, progetto che è poi continuato anche allo scorso Pitti Bimbo 80 di gennaio 2015.

After the success of these years, Stella Jean joins to the project Kids Evolution with her first capsule collection for children, that I have had the pleasure to admire at Pitti Bimbo 79 in June 2014. This project then continued even at last Pitti Bimbo 80 in January 2015.

Finalmente, la collezione che avevo ammirato con tanto anticipo è arrivata nelle boutique e nei negozi online: quello che mi sento di segnalare perchè ha la selezione più ampia è l’italianissimo Yoox… e sarà dura, MOLTO DURA, resistere!
