What children do in Iceland? I’ve never been in Iceland, but I have visited so many times Northern Europe and reading the words of Helga Olafsdottir, founder and Creative Director of Iglo+Indi, I think about that landscapes that I loved and admired so much, those delicate faces and blond-angel hair of their kids, that sense of freedom mixed to education and respect for nature that only Nordic people has. And we try to learn everyday from them. The kids wake up early, dressed in layers of clothes, a cat dress paired with bubble gum leggings and an oversized sweater from their big sister. They fill their backpacks with their favourite things, a favourite doll, a jar for bugs and butterflies and food to last the whole day. They put their little cat in the basket, jump on their bikes and off they go for exploration and new adventures, only to return home under the midnight sun. With hares, cats, birds and bugs, crisp colours of papaya, light lemon, aqua and sky blue, the collection is bright and playful. Do you remember Ciff Kids and our travel to Copenhagen? Our first encounter with Iglo+Indi SS17 collection happened right at Ciff Kids, a fair of cool Scandinavian brand, dominated by a Nordic composure without sacrificing design, colors and cool child-friendly style. Non sono mai stata in Islanda, ma ho visitato davvero tante volte i paesi del Nord Europa e leggendo le parole di Helga Olafsdottir, fondatrice e Creative Director di Iglo+Indi, mi vengono in mente i paesaggi che ho tanto amato ed ammirato, quei visi delicati e capelli biondo angelo e quel senso di libertà misto ad educazione e rispetto per la natura che solo i popoli nordici hanno. E da cui proviamo ogni giorno ad imparare qualcosa. I bambini si svegliano presto, vestiti a strati, un abito con un gatto abbinato ad un leggings color bubblegum e un maglione oversize della loro sorella maggiore. Riempiono i loro zainetti con le loro cose preferite, una bambola, un barattolo di insetti e farfalle e cibo per andare in giro tutto il giorno. Mettono il loro gattino nel cestino, saltano sulle loro biciclette e se ne vanno ad esplorare e cercare nuove avventure, per poi tornare a casa sotto il sole di mezzanotte.
