Time to renew our closet? This time we talk about mum-fashion: after girls and boys, finally it’s our time! And here the question is more tricky… first of all because we do not have the luck to change size (and wardrobe) every year like our children, and also women can be divided into two main groups: those who buy many low -cost items (and maybe throw it all away before the end of the season), and those who buy less because prefer to purchase something “good”, sometimes even less trendy in fashion. Once again the master in Managing Fashion and Luxury Companies opened my eyes: the fashion goes, the luxury remains. Declining it to a “normal” world: fast-fashion low-cost brands always follow the latest trends, just to entice to buy, just to be in step with fashion, to make us “take the plunge” of a particular item with a low price; instead, high-fashion brands are increasingly “classical”, they follow trends, but in a less exaggerated way. What do you think? I think we are all a mix, but mostly I’m part of the second line of thought. And if I buy low-cost, I do not rely on Zara (I know, all you love Zara, but, because I have lived in Spain many years ago when you do not even know what Zara was, it does not convince me except for rare cases…), I always look fashionable brands, low-cost, but less inflated. Simply I don’t like to wear garments that everybody wears. So. Here is my selection of favorite garments for this spring. I choose THE trench, timeless. To buy one time and make it last. Really do I need to tell you the brand? This is from Asos Petite (I have already said that I’m quite short, isn’t it?) I love this brand with a rock soul.And I’d buy this outfit RIGHT NOW. My passion are prints and really I love these Balmain pants! On the other hand spring is for discovering legs, right? This is from Dolce&Gabbana. Here is the proposal of a classic: the chemisier dress. is the Spanish brand Nice Things, which always stands out for its prints. If I have to, I would choose those with wedge signed by Rita Ora. La palette di colori si sposta verso un eclettico mix di toni eterei e sobri, dai colori più vividi e scintillanti smorzati ai pallidi pastelli, ai toni neutri, dal sapore un po’ retrò, che ci ricordano l’arte floreale ed i paesaggi tropicali, quasi a ripristinare un senso di benessere, mentre ci dirigiamo verso i mesi estivi.

Oggi è un giorno di… ansia da separazione. Non per Sissi, ma per me: ho degli impegni di lavoro e quindi Sissi passerà la mattinata con il papà. Non sono abituata a non prepararle il latte (il biberon) ed a fare colazione insieme accoccolate, ad andare via di soppiatto mentre ancora dorme…
E non sono abituata a non preparare un outfit per lei! Staremo a vedere cosa sceglierà papà (aiutoooooooo!)…
Oggi quindi vi mostrerò il mio outfit (inauguriamo una nuova categoria “Mom’s fashion“): è un outfit per un incontro di lavoro, devo andare a discutere una pratica edilizia con un funzionario di un ente. Quindi outfit non troppo formale e piuttosto semplice: una camicetta ed un jeans. Tacco alto (dato che non devo correro dietro a Sissi) e borsa capiente, dove entreranno i documenti che porterò con me. E per finire i miei amati bracciali: Pandora e Agatha, ognuno con un significato, con un ricordo.

Oggi, nel giorno del tuo compleanno, io e Sissi vogliamo augurarti di continuare ad essere sempre un pilastro per le nostre vite, un riferimento grande e costante, sia oggi che la vita ci ha regalato l’opportunità di vivere nella stessa città, sia quando siamo state lontane kilometri, a volte pochi altre tanti tanti. Non si prospetta una bella giornata, almeno metereologicamente parlando… e quindi credo che per l’outfit di Sissi potrò inaugurare un capo comprato qualche tempo fa, ma ancora mai usato semplicemente perchè il clima non era adatto: o troppo freddo o troppo caldo…
No promises of a beautiful day, at least the weather is talking about rain… and then I think for Sissi’s outfit we finally can inaugurate an item bought some time ago, but still never used simply because the weather was not suitable: either too cold or too hot…

Siamo a -7 dalla festa per il compleanno di Sissi… L’outfit di oggi è comodissimo dato che saremo in giro mattina e pomeriggio, quindi il vestito di Burberry è adattissimo perchè abbastanza casual e molto comodo.
We had to go to the mountains … and instead we ended up at the beach! We had to go to our favorite restaurant , recently discovered … and instead we ended up in a luxury-restaurant where the maitre does not like children very much (and I must say that Sissi, entertained with the stickers of Peppa Pig and colors, is very good when we eat at restaurants) ! We had to have a snack with ice cream … and instead we took a green tea with mint ! We had to buy some electrical material … and instead we came home with confetti and streamers ! Fortunately, the outfits Sissi for this Sunday a little “wrong” was very appropriate! We start from the cardigan with zip from Bonnie Baby, gray with foxes, comfortable and soft. The t- shirt is from Mini Rodini and we chose it because it combines well with white pants in lightweight fleece from Burberry: this combination of light mint green and white would be perfect for the spring/summer and , given the great day of sun, why not start experimenting a bit? The socks, in pale pink, are from Calzedonia Kids. Today we inaugurate the new Naturino purchased a few weeks ago: this gray suede looks great with the cardigan and the Moncler down jacket (do you remember? Here it is!) and I really like the leather tips and the side zip! They seems “adult” sneakers! Dovevamo andare in montagna… e invece siamo finiti al mare! Dovevamo andare al nostro ristorante preferito, da poco scoperto… e invece siamo finiti in un ristorante di lusso dove il maitre non ama molto i bambini (e devo dire che Sissi, intrattenuta con gli adesivi di Peppa Pig ed i colori, al ristorante si comporta molto bene)! Dovevamo fare merenda col gelato… e invece abbiamo preso un tè verde alla menta! Dovevamo comprare del materiale elettrico… e invece siamo tornati a casa con coriandoli e stelle filanti! Fa ancora freddo, ma il sole comincia a scaldare, le vetrine on street e on line cominciano a colorarsi di pastelli primaverili e di fiori… manca ancora un po’, ma già cominciamo a pensare alla primavera ed allora oggi l’outfit di Sissi è proprio fiorito! It’s still cold, but the sun begins to warm, the windows on street and online begin to show pastel colors and spring flowers… there is still a bit, but already we begin to think of spring and then today’s outfit for Sissi is just blooming!
Cominciamo col cardigan di Dolce e Gabbana Kids, primaverile, leggero, fiorito sui toni del Radiant Orchid (ricordate il colore Pantone 2014?). Abbiniamo la blusa di Burberry e poi ancora fiori sui leggings di Zara Kids. Terminiamo con i calzini di Calzedonia Kids e le MAA, calde, morbide, comode, con i lacci in Radiant Orchid. Let’s start with the cardigan from Dolce & Gabbana Kids, spring, light, flowery tones of Radiant Orchid (do you remember the color Pantone for 2014?). We combine the Burberry blouse and then again with flowers for the leggings from Zara Kids. We end with socks from Calzedonia Kids and MAA shoes, warm, soft, comfortable, with laces in Radiant Orchid.

Il sole ci accompagna anche oggi, abbiamo deciso di fare una passeggiata breve e abbiamo scelto un look allegro, tutto sui toni del viola-fucsia-lilla. E’ facile abbinare questa blusa di Burberry con il cardigan Zara Kids e i leggings di Fendi. Anche i calzini di Calzedonia Kids sono in tono. E ovviamente questo outfit è perfetto per le nostre UGG, che ne dite?
The sun is with us today, we decided to take a short walk and we chose a cheerful look, all in shades of purple-pink-lilac. It ‘easy to match this blouse from Burberry with the cardigan from Zara Kids and the leggings from Fendi. Even the socks from Calzedonia Kids are in tone. Day of passage today: still devoted to relax and preparations for tomorrow, today is a day when we do not look back yet (in the end we still have a day of 2013!) and we have not even begun the endless list of resolutions for the 2014 … today is simply Dec. 30th.

Giornata di passaggio oggi: dedicata ancora al relax, ai preparativi per domani, è una giornata in cui non guardiamo ancora indietro (in fin dei conti ci rimane ancora un giorno del 2013!) e neanche abbiamo cominciato l’infinita lista di propositi per il 2014… oggi è semplicemente il 30 dicembre.

Oggi è stato una giornata di ultimi preparativi: ultimi acquisti, ultimi regali, un giretto in centro a salutare il nonno e il DIN DON… poi nel pomeriggio la sessione di foto natalizie dal fotografo (con l’outfit di domani, che amiamo moltissimo)… Today was a day of final preparations : last purchases , last gifts , a walk to the city center to greet the grandfather and our friend DIN DON … then in the afternoon session of Christmas photos from the photographer (with the outfit of tomorrow , which we love very much) …
Per una giornata così intensa il look di Sissi doveva essere easy, comodo, morbido… la felpa della nuova collezione di Mini Rodini è morbidissima, di un cotone organico caldo ma sottile, noi abbiamo scelto un colore non molto semplice da abbinare perchè è un beige abbastanza caldo (l’altro colore disponibile era blu). In realtà si abbina molto bene con il blu, che sia il blu dei jeans (come in questo outfit qui) o di questi splendidi pantaloni di Burberry in cotone pesante ma morbido come una felpa, mi sembra che questo sia il migliore abbinamento per questa felpa! I calzini di Calzedonia Kids sono perfettamente in tono. Il tocco di colore (e di femminilità) lo danno gli stivaletti UGG: per il resto questo outfit è perfettamente unisex! For a such intense day the look of Sissi was supposed to be easy , comfortable, soft … the sweater from new collection of Mini Rodini is very soft, in organic cotton, warm but thin, we chose a color not very easy to match because it is a warm beige (the other color available was blue). In fact, it matches very well with the blue, with the blue of the jeans (like in this outfit here) or with the blue of these gorgeous trousers from Burberry in warm cotton but very soft, it seems to me that this is the best pairing for this sweatshirt! The socks from Calzedonia Kids are just perfect in the same color. The touch of color ( and femininity ) is given by the UGG boots : apart these boots this outfit is perfectly unisex !

Un respiro profondo… e usciamo cercando di concludere il più possibile conciliando le mie incombenze di adulto con le necessità da bambina di Sissi… A deep breath … and we go out trying to finish as much as possible to reconcile my duties as adult with the needs of Sissi as child…
L’outfit oggi è femminile e caldo: abbiamo scelto di indossare gli short con quadretti rosa e bianchi in lana di Chicco, la t-shirt panna di Burberry, il cardigan in cotone con zip di Bonnie Baby con le nostre amiche volpine. La calzamaglia non è pesantissima, è in microfibra, di Calzedonia Kids, ma non mi preoccupa perchè andremo al centro commerciale, quindi staremo al chiuso. Abbiniamo gli stivaletti UGG, che devo dire mi hanno davvero sorpreso (positivamente) perchè tengono la temperatura dei piedi uniforme e non li fanno sudare: 10 e lode! The outfit is feminine and warm today: we have chosen to wear shorts with pink and white check in wool from Chicco, a cream t-shirts from Burberry, a cotton cardigan with zip from Bonnie Baby with with our friends little foxes. The tights are not heavy, made of microfiber, from Calzedonia Kids, but it does not bother me because we’re going to the mall, then we’ll be indoors. We match UGG boots, I must say that I was really surprised (positively) because they keep the temperature of her feet evenly and do not make them sweat: 10 marks!
