We arrived in the evening, tired after so many kilometers, finally to Hotel Konventum.

The calmness, silence and harmony between man and nature, between your thoughts and the North sky resonate in this Hotel. They welcome you with soft lighting, a quiet environment but not too cold nor aseptic, warmed by the color of the wood and the beautiful lobby.

From the architectural point of view, the structure uses lots of wood, which transmit heat and host to the traveler. And so many windows that overlook the breathtaking views looking at the Swedish coast.
On the other hand Helsingborg is just there. Only a narrow strip of sea separates Denmark from Sweden.

Architecture, art and design

Hotel Konventum was built in 1969 (but do not expect a dated hotel because it has undergone many renovations over the years) and since then has attracted international recognition for its unique architecture and its impressive area of 20,000 square meters. The hotel is spread over several levels, interspersed with charming courtyards, atriums with different and unique spaces around the main building.

Hotel Konventum is a very large property, where it is almost easy to get lost.
Despite being a large and well-known congress center (with all the structures of hospitality related to this kind of activity), peace and relaxation reign supreme… and the next morning at breakfast you discover that the feeling of being alone in this nice hotel was merely a sensation, due to the attention and respect – tipically Nordic – for silence and privacy.

Hotel Konventum owns a large private art collection of over 1,200 works of modern art from 1950 until today. Over 100 artists represented including Ærtebjerg Katrine, Asger Jorn, Carl-Henning Pedersen, Kurt Trampedach, Egil Jacobsen and Kristian Hornsleth. The exhibition is open to the public and you can reserve a guide.

Hotel Konventum: many services for all tastes

If you arrive by car (and I recommend you to visit Denmark by renting a car), parking is never a problem, nor from a cost point of view (it’s free) nor from the point of view of the parking facility ( there are many parking places).

In the breakfast room, the round tables and windows overlooking the green garden (with a gorgeous view) allow you to enjoy a rich continental breakfast with plenty of choice even with organic products.
