White is the new black

Ecco dunque i miei consigli su come arredare casa total white (con qualche aiutino).Read More

Baby Bottega – Flamingo party

DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? Click HERE for English text!

Some days ago we took part to the flamingo party at Baby Bottega, in Florence.

When an object or a space is designed with love, the results can only be fabulous.

This philosophy inspires Baby Bottega, an innovative store created by the passionate and creative mind of Daisy Diaz. Mom and Interior Designer from Miami, she specializes in the design and decoration of children’s bedrooms (in the US and Italy) .

Because of my job (the “true” one), the world of interior design is not totally foreign to me: I’m an engineer, I deal with building, systems and energy and in a side often I come in contact with this world. And often I meet people conceited and full of himself.

This time, in a magical ambience painted of pink and under the sweet gaze of the flamingos, I spoke with Daisy and immediately I was fascinated by her American accent, her mild-mannered, affable, gentle. Then I discovered that in her veins, as in those of my little Sissi, is flowing Latin blood…

Daisy’s project has grown quickly (just recently recognized as one of the Best Independent Lifestyle Boutique by Junior Design Award UK 2014) and now, in addition to the store in the center of Florence , also includes a practical e-commerce site and a new event space , la Botteghina , where every month little ones and their parents gather for flower design workshops , readings in English , events dedicated to children’s etiquette … Baby Bottega sells (online and in the store) a multitude of accessories, home decor and sought after gifts for children and mothers. Everything has been personally selected by Daisy according to her indispensable principles for children: safety, eco-sustainability, innovation and functionality.
There are so many brands that Baby Bottega discovered around the world and now offers its customers: from handcrafted wallpaper BIEN FAIT to those customized by LITTLE HANDS ILLUSTRATION as well as intelligent and entertaining products by PLAY & GO … all examples the of aesthetic and functional union of “love + design” that is the foundation of Daisy’s philosophy.
A passion supported by constant updating, which allows visitors to find not only brands such as Nobodinoz and Oeuf, true bestsellers loved by more and more people around the world, but also many new brands such as Playforever from England of which Baby Bottega is the first retailer in Italy.

The news that Daisy has presented to press and friends (have you seen the Periscope video?) are mainly about Aden + Anais, British brand famous for its cotton muslin swaddle (Sissi loves them, they have multiple uses also for a 3-years-and-a-half-old-girl!) who presented a preview of the clothing line (and that I will visit with pleasure also at Playtime Paris) …

Meri Meri, American brand with lots of objects for decoration and parties, but not only. I am literally in love with its jewelry: for me, not for Sissi. I mean … we will quarrel my purchases!

Tagà: a bike like those often seen in the Nordic countries … also converts into a stroller!

BuoKids, design objects and lamps, designed in Valencia. Oh, my Valencia (how did I live for five years without realizing how many beautiful things there were? I apologize that I was not a mom, at the time)

GioKit: an Italian idea, clothes that make happy mothers and children… they can color the drawings on the clothes with all their fancy: the rest is done by the washing machine! And then start over. Brilliant, right?

Catita Illustrations is a Spanish company specializing in decorations. I love its posters… in particular “What would Batman do?”

Here is my shopping that will be with us in our Parisian week…
