Vestire i bambini a primavera è piuttosto semplice: dal punto di vista dei pesi la parola d’ordine è vestirsi a strati, mentre dal punto di vista dei colori il mio consiglio è di aprirsi alle fantasie, alle stampe, ai colori sorbetto (giallo, fucsia, rosso sono alcuni fra colori più trendy della primavera estate 2017) e anche ai colori chiari, come il panna, il beige e il bianco. What children do in Iceland? I’ve never been in Iceland, but I have visited so many times Northern Europe and reading the words of Helga Olafsdottir, founder and Creative Director of Iglo+Indi, I think about that landscapes that I loved and admired so much, those delicate faces and blond-angel hair of their kids, that sense of freedom mixed to education and respect for nature that only Nordic people has. And we try to learn everyday from them. The kids wake up early, dressed in layers of clothes, a cat dress paired with bubble gum leggings and an oversized sweater from their big sister. They fill their backpacks with their favourite things, a favourite doll, a jar for bugs and butterflies and food to last the whole day. They put their little cat in the basket, jump on their bikes and off they go for exploration and new adventures, only to return home under the midnight sun. With hares, cats, birds and bugs, crisp colours of papaya, light lemon, aqua and sky blue, the collection is bright and playful. Do you remember Ciff Kids and our travel to Copenhagen? Our first encounter with Iglo+Indi SS17 collection happened right at Ciff Kids, a fair of cool Scandinavian brand, dominated by a Nordic composure without sacrificing design, colors and cool child-friendly style. Iglo+Indi bring us in spring colors and makes us travel through its style proposals until Iceland. Non sono mai stata in Islanda, ma ho visitato davvero tante volte i paesi del Nord Europa e leggendo le parole di Helga Olafsdottir, fondatrice e Creative Director di Iglo+Indi, mi vengono in mente i paesaggi che ho tanto amato ed ammirato, quei visi delicati e capelli biondo angelo e quel senso di libertà misto ad educazione e rispetto per la natura che solo i popoli nordici hanno. E da cui proviamo ogni giorno ad imparare qualcosa. I bambini si svegliano presto, vestiti a strati, un abito con un gatto abbinato ad un leggings color bubblegum e un maglione oversize della loro sorella maggiore. Riempiono i loro zainetti con le loro cose preferite, una bambola, un barattolo di insetti e farfalle e cibo per andare in giro tutto il giorno. Mettono il loro gattino nel cestino, saltano sulle loro biciclette e se ne vanno ad esplorare e cercare nuove avventure, per poi tornare a casa sotto il sole di mezzanotte. Tutto è partito da alcuni librini sugli animali: è curioso come i nostri cuccioli si appassionino sin da subito al mondo animale. Non parlano ancora ma sanno riprodurre il verso della mucca o del pulcino: in fondo, se ci riflettete, fa un po’ sorridere quanto noi adulti ci impegnamo affinchè i nostri bambini imparino con esattezza il verso di ciascun animale. A dilemma. It could be a birthday, a party, a wedding or just a special day. First of all: layers. Better being able to remove and then add depending on the temperature. In our case, the restaurant has a heated indoor and outside a garden with areas of sun and shade… We chose a total look Iglo+Indi: I already told you about the spring summer collection 2016 called Urban Safari, but I want to add that with this set (dress and cardigan) was love at first sight already about a year ago during Playtime Paris. And well, one of those coup de coeur who kidnap you, that make you wish for a women’s line, that makes you say “it has to be mine” (oops … hers!). The dress from Iglo+Indi is made of cotton and linen , the floral print is bright, the material is light and fresh (in fact I added the tee, Bonpoint, under the dress precisely for this reason). I love the delicacy of ruffles sewn on the shoulders, the hint of the sleeve, the perfect fit on my daughter. We completed with its cotton cardigan Unnur , yellow like the sun, with pompon at the front. We added tights in cotton from Condor and the shoes from Petit Bateau, a great love of Sissi (I would have preferred something in color, but Sissi loves these dancers, even more than the Bloch ones bought in Paris!) … This look with a headband or flower hairclips in the hair, with dancers maybe yellow in patent leather and white tights would be perfect for a wedding, don’t you think ?DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? We waited for an occasion, in part for a suitable weather, in part for health (don’t worry, really nothing serious, just flu…), but finally I decided to take it out for Easter Sunday, that we passed with our family at the restaurant.
How to dress girls for spring?
Oggi voglio raccontarvi l’outfit di Pasqua di Sissi: è un look a cui tengo, che da tempo serbavo nell’armadio aspettando di poterlo sfoggiare. Attendevamo in parte l’occasione, in parte il clima adatto, in parte la salute (ahimè questa sconosciuta! Nulla di grave, sono solo malanni di stagione… disse qualcuno…) ed alla fine ho deciso comunque di tirarlo fuori per il giorno di Pasqua, passata in famiglia al ristorante.
Un bel dilemma. Ora parliamoci chiaro: non sono questi i drammi della vita, soprattutto in un mondo che ci ricorda la tragedia della guerra, il terrore del terrorismo e tutto quanto di abominevole l’essere umano possa causare… Però noi mamme vogliamo vedere carine le nostre bambine, sempre, e ancor di più in un giorno di festa.
Potrebbe essere un compleanno, un party, una cerimonia o semplicemente una giornata speciale.
Anzitutto: strati. Meglio poter togliere e poi aggiungere a seconda della temperatura. Nel nostro caso il ristorante ha un interno riscaldato e un giardino con zone di sole e ombra…
Abbiamo scelto un total look Iglo+Indi: vi ho già raccontato la collezione primavera estate 2016 Urban Safari, ma voglio aggiungere che con questo completo è stato amore a prima vista già circa un anno fa a Playtime Paris. E’ così, uno di quei coup de coeur che ti rapiscono, che ti fanno desiderare una linea donna, che ti fa dire “deve essere mio” (ops… suo!).
L’abito Nella di Iglo+Indi è in cotone e lino, la stampa a fiori è luminosa, il tessuto leggero e fresco (infatti ho aggiunto la tee, di Bonpoint, sotto proprio per questo motivo: in fondo non sarebbe un abito da indossare a Marzo). Amo la delicatezza dei volant cuciti sulle spalle, l’accenno di manica, il fit perfetto sulla mia bimba. Nella si completa con il suo cardigan in cotone Unnur, giallo come il sole, con i pompon “accennati” nella parte anteriore (meglio che non siano pompon cuciti altrimenti Sissi li avrebbe già staccati…). Abbiamo aggiunto le calzamaglie Condor in cotone e le ballerine Petit Bateau, grande amore di Sissi (io avrei preferito qualcosa a colore, ma Sissi adora queste ballerine, addirittura più delle Bloch comprate a Parigi!)…
Questo look, con un cerchietto o delle mollettine fiorite tra i capelli, con ballerine magari gialle lucide e calzamaglia bianca sarebbe perfetto anche per una cerimonia, non pensate?
I will not tell you about the story of the brand, that you can read in the above articles, but I want to tell the inspiration of this collection, in my opinion one of the best of the season. I was lucky enough to have the overview of the entire collection when I saw these garments at Playtime Paris, in July 2015. And I waited patiently: this is all about. Wait: when you love fashion and you get lucky to see the collections with about a year in advance, the waiting is getting higher over the months, especially when you find a collection that reflect yourself and your modus vivendi. Spring/summer 2016 collection is entitled Urban Safari, and takes us into a charming mix of colorful houses and striking modern architecture of a bustling capital where the air is crystal-clear and lava fields, mountains, meadows and beaches allow for exploration and play: this is life in Reykjavik, where urban life and nature co-exist peacefully. The brand focuses on children’s own world: the lines in GOTS certified organic cotton will increase this season – the classic panda has made new friends: the koala, the puffin and the fox (and I anticipate that autumn/winter 2016/17 will be fully bio) – and graphic prints (often with animal characters or anthropomorphic animals) intersect with brush strokes, spots, bouquets of flowers… The palette approaches sophisticated shades of gray tones to delicate pastel pink and mint green, but also to more vivid colors such as cherry red and orange. To the classic models of t-shirts, sweatshirts, pants (they are the best trousers as fit for my Sissi), leggings and dresses are added jackets and knitwear with very trendy designs … and for those who want a touch of elegance, this is the woven cotton project!DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?
